Stephen Taylor - Law & Justice Spokesman

Stephen is currently completing a Master of Legal Studies Degree at the University of Auckland. Stephen is the Director of Litigation Support Services, an organisation that works to assist Self-Represented Litigants (SRLs) to navigate the criminal and civil court jurisdictions in New Zealand. He is acting as a Court-appointed Litigation Guardian, a McKenzie friend, or a Court Support Person.

A successful Law & Justice Consumer Advocate since 2011, Stephen set a legal precedent as an SRL in Harassment Law in 2014, resulting in the imprisonment of a serial fraudster who fleeced over 71 victims of a collective 3.5 million dollars over 32 years.

A fierce advocate for justice, Stephen has also been a successful self-represented litigant in the Disputes Tribunal, District Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of New Zealand, experiences which have made Stephen a very effective applied-practice, real-world spokesman for the Conservative Law & Justice portfolio.

As the Convenor of the Ministry of Injustice New Zealand (MOINZ), Stephen is most passionate about improving access to justice and holding power to account when miscarriages of justice or abuse of process by the Police or judiciary are committed against the citizenry.

In particular, Stephen is very keen for a Royal Commission of Enquiry into Police Conduct to be initiated by the Government, given the increasing evidential findings of Police Misconduct case outcomes in New Zealand (see IPCA website for more information).

Conserve the good for a better New Zealand
