BUREAURCRATIC USURPATION OF GOVERNANCE.
Legislate to curtail unconstitutional bureaucratic power is a priority for the Conservative Party.
All government departments are affected by a malaise that grows in direct proportion to the weakened will and authority of those elected to parliament.
Bureaucrats, elements of the Judiciary, and unelected advisors at both national and local levels have increasingly chosen to usurp the democratic mandate of elected representatives and the people they serve.
This subversion manifests through misleading or selectively framed advice to politicians, the deliberate obstruction of legitimate policy strategies emanating from Cabinet, and the routine overriding of lawmakers’ expectations and priorities.
Rather than serving as neutral administrators, these institutions often advance their own ideological agendas – frequently at odds with the expressed will of the electorate. The result is a profound frustration for those elected officials who seek to act in good faith on behalf of the public. Instead of enabling effective governance, bureaucratic resistance functions as parasitic drag: a constant, hidden drain on national performance, economic vitality and societal well-being.
What should be a smooth engine of progress is slowed and degraded by internal forces that answer to neither voter or results.
